I know I came up with this is my head sometime in the last 3 years. It was probably already made by then though.
My friend told us about this when we went to visit them and their new baby. There are several versions of the product- NoseFrida, Baby NasaKleen (this is the one I have), BabyComfyNose, and others. YOU CAN SUCK THE SNOT OUT OF YOUR BABY'S NOSE.
Hearing about this made me want to have another baby. I'm not kidding. But then Nathan got sick (sad, but hello opportunity!) with a cough and congestion. I called up our local Whole Foods to make sure they had one in stock. They had one left so they put it on hold and I had Serg go pick it up.
Since babies up until the age of 2 or 3 can't blow their noses, we rely on saline spray and bulb syringes to help them clear out the drainage. Until this amazing invention!! You stick one part in baby's nostril, not too far of course, and with the other end of the tube you suck with all your might and the snot comes out! Much more than with a bulb syringe, which I have always disliked anyway. You can watch all the yucky snot get sucked into the tube and know that it's not going down your baby's throat. And yes, of course there is a filter so the snot can't get into your mouth.
Oh. My. Word. This might be my most favorite baby invention.
