Latest Happenings

We've been busy around here! Not that that's a great excuse for not blogging, but its all I've got. Well, that plus our son damanged the space bar on my laptop so "computing" takes some creativity these days. If my emails to you have seemed short, its because I'm having to press "control + v" to put a space in between each word. We'll get it fixed sometime...

So back to what's been going on in the Castillejos house... Nathan is eight weeks old! He's growing so fast and has turned into a super sweet, pretty chill baby. We are really enjoying him and are torn between wanting him to grow and wanting him to stay a baby forever. I think one of the greatest days of my life will be when he can play cars with Andrew. Here are a few recent pictures of our baby.

so alert these days!

Big boys!

We had some house guests in town a few weeks ago which was so fun! The Woodalls came to visit and go to the UT/OU game. We split the kids between grandparents, with my parents taking Nathan for the day and Serg's parents taking Andrew. It was AMAZING. I love my children, but was seriously on some kind of weird high driving home in an empty car and yes I will admit it, blasting some 90's rap. We went to the fair for a few hours before the game, then I headed home while Serg, Jason and Amber stayed. They had a great time even though Texas lost, and came home with some serious sunburns! Thanks for visiting guys, it was really fun to see you as always.

Hanging out at home.

Jason was Andrew's best bud once he started the Cars videos on the computer.

Emotional after the loss.

Andrew and I headed back to the fair last week with cousin Annie and Aunt Katie and some other friends. This was an adventure and I'm so glad we did it. We rode the DART, had a corny dog, rode the skyway, checked out the car shows, and overall had a great time. I got a little stressed out when Andrew would announce he had to go to the bathroom and had to run with the stroller frantically asking people where the nearest restroom is. But I know he enjoyed it and its always fun to see him experience new things.

On the DART.

Car show at the fair. Somebody LOVED this.

At the dog show. Love Annie's cute hair and how Andrew is looking up at his Aunt Katie!

This week we went as a family to the Arboretum which was absolutely beautiful and really fun for all of us. They have a hay maze and so many pumpkins right now, plus the day we went they had the petting zoo and a storytime/sing time thing. We will definitely be going back this season.

Pumpkin house!

Little pumpkin slept most of the time:)

Andrew started organizing pumpkins. I was so proud!

This picture cracks me up. They are so adorable.

I bribed Andrew with a lollipop to pose for a few family pictures.

It's been nice to get out and about so soon after Nathan's birth. We are so much calmer this time around which I'm sure is typical with second babies. I don't think I even left the house much during Andrew's first few months. Lately I've been trying to take the attitude of just doing things without freaking out about the planning. Serg has never been a worrier or planner so I'm sure this makes him very happy. That's all I've got for now!
