Atlanta

Picking up right where I left off, ha! Only about five years later. Since we just started a new life adventure, I want to start documenting again. This is really just for me, but I like to think one day my kids might read about these adventures/challenges/beautiful moments of our crazy life with three young children and enjoy seeing it from my perspective.

We are in a much different life stage now than when we went to London for our last "big" adventure. Andrew is now 10 and in 5th grade. Nathan is 8 and in 2nd grade. Sam is 4 and going to five day a week, half-day preschool. So I now have about a two hour chunk of time each weekday that I want to use wisely to explore our new city, Atlanta. Serge is working for Heatcraft, a business under the Lennox Int'l umbrella. On weekends and holidays we want to explore as a family, as well as take trips back to Dallas to visit friends and family.

SO, we are finding there are many fun things to do around our home in Atlanta - parks, hiking trails, the aquarium, Stone Mountain, short road trips to beautiful places like Savannah, the Blue Ridge mountains, and more. I will post soon about the kids and I going to the aquarium, as well as my hike in a pretty nature preserve close to our house. I also want to go to Ponce City Market sometime in the next week or so, and return to this gigantic farmers market called the Dekalb Farmers Market.

Basically, I want to be intentional about being adventurous. Its easy to get down about missing everything we left back in Dallas, but that would take away from enjoying where we are right now in life. So here's to exploring Atlanta, a few hours at a time!
