I thought we would let Nate try some rice cereal to start getting used to the spoon. This sequence of pictures will tell you how he felt about it.
SO, obviously we are going to wait a bit before trying that again.
Also this week we went to Breakfast with Santa. I always did this with my mom and friends when I was a kid and have some pretty fond memories from it. Andrew was excited leading up to it, but was far more interested in the breakfast part than the Santa part. He chowed down all his food as well as the little girl's food who was sitting next to us. We asked first, of course. Her mom had been talking to me about how her little girl was an extremely picky eater, and sure enough she did not touch her pancakes and bananas. I, however, have the opposite problem: that of a human garbage disposal. Here is Andrew enjoying his (and her) breakfast:
And since he wouldn't sit with Santa, I got a picture of Nate with the big fella. Santa said something very strange when I asked if I could get a picture of him holding Nate. He said, "Sure, but you better hurry up". Was he afraid Nate would pee on him or something? Shouldn't Santa be joyful about holding kids and babies?

I need to write about our trip to Houston which was lots of fun. I'll try to do that later today. Its hard to believe Christmas is in less than a week!!
