25 things...

you may not know about this mom. Since I usually focus on the kiddos, thought I would do something different in honor of mother's day. Here is a very random list of things about me with mommy things intertwined. Some things may be surprising, but hey that's the idea!

1. My favorite snack since I was in 8th grade is cheeze-its with cream cheese.
2. I got my foot stuck in an escalator when I was in 3rd grade.
3. I am an only child but have three half-siblings who live in California.
4. I need it to be silent and dark to fall asleep at night.
5. I am great at one liners but terrible at telling stories.
6. I once started the process to become a teacher but then realized I would hate being a teacher.
7. When I was little I had a very well attended birthday party for my cabbage patch kid.
8. Becoming a mother has turned me into quite the control freak.
9. I am in many ways now the polar opposite of the girl my husband fell in love with.
10. I have a love/hate relationship with technology.
11. My mother was a flight attendant for American Airlines until I was about a year old. She quit when she came home from a trip and heard me call my grandma "mommy".
12. I don't consider it a workout unless there is sweat and a little pain involved.
13. I smoked cigarettes off and on throughout high school and college. Now the smell of smoke makes me nauseous.
14. Being a mom is what I am most proud of.
15. I hope when I'm old I'm just like my grandma- never says a bad word about anyone, reads all the time, and is the sweetest lady you'll ever meet.
16. I hate broccoli. I love eggplant.
17. Things always sound much better in my head than when I say them out loud.
18. Growing up I always thought I would have two little boys. Or maybe I just always wanted two little boys. Its just as great as I though it would be.
19. My parents were either going to name me Natalie or Nadia.
20. My nickname growing up was Natalie Noodle-ee.
21. I frequently took out my parents car when I was as young as 13 years old. This may be a surprise to them.
22. I love running and hope I never have to stop. I guess when I do have to stop I'll just walk.
23. My first job out of college was a travel agent.
24. My middle name is Justina (pronounced who-stina) after my great-grandma on my dad's side.
25. I cry pretty much every time I see someone else cry. Another adult, that is.

Happy mother's day to all the mommies out there! We are far from perfect but our kids may not know that yet!! :-)
