Sweet Babies, Bad Mommy

Over the weekend we had a little scare with Nate getting an itchy rash after rubbing some cheese on his face. It was his first time having anything with dairy and the poor kid acted like he had ants all over his head. Thankfully my mother in law had some calamine lotion that she slathered on his face as we rushed out the door to the hospital. Halfway there the rash cleared up and he peacefully fell asleep so we decided to not spend two miserable hours at the hospital since he seemed ok.

Lesson learned? You would think so. But yesterday at the store I got some of those yogurt melt things and was so excited for Nate to try them. TOTALLY didn't think about the fact that they have dairy in them. Poor little guy had the same topical reaction and had to be covered in the pink stuff again. I felt so bad and will not be giving him dairy products for a long time. I hope he will grow out of it but if not I need to step up this mommy thing!

I am in love with these huge chubby cheeks and big brown eyes.

"Ok mom, stop taking pictures and come play with me!"

Also, I spared the picture of this next one, but this morning I had to cut a cough drop out of Andrew's hair. It somehow got from his mouth to the back of his head and was seriously matted in there. Probably shouldn't shove a cough drop in his mouth when he's half asleep anymore.

For the record, I don't actually think I'm a bad mommy, just learning as I go :)
