My dear friend Kelly and I took a weekend trip to Savannah in early March. Neither of us had ever been and it was SUCH a refreshing and fun time. Kelly drove to Atlanta (from near Nashville), picked me up, and we drove on to Savannah. We stayed in an apartment right in the heart of downtown, super close to lots of fun shopping and restaurants. We ate, drank, walked, shopped, rested and generally just did all the nice things you do without kids and responsibilities for a weekend. Cracker the black lab came too and gave us a good excuse to get out and walk a bunch. Savannah is a great city to visit and I hope to make it back sometime to explore even more.

Meanwhile, back at home with boys weekend in full swing, Serge and the boys decided to try three pizza places around town to see which one they liked best. They had a whole ranking system and everything. One of the places was deep dish, and they were not big fans. The winner turned out to be Cameli's, which has giant thin crust pizza slices. I enjoyed getting picture updates throughout the weekend from their quest to find the best pizza place.
