We took a family trip to the zoo this week. They had a special promotion where adult admission was only $1 per person. Normally its like $12 so this was a huge savings. We took the DART which Andrew now officially loves and I am a big fan of too. Aunt Katie and Annie met us there. They had been before and knew where the cool things were. The giraffes were the biggest hit all around I think. They are really beautiful and the exhibit lets them come right up to you to pet them and feed them lettuce.
The lions and elephants were also pretty interesting to look at. Since we had limited time to play around because of nap, we didn't explore the entire zoo. I've heard that its not that great anyways so it was fine with me. We had lunch in a neat little restaurant that has a glass wall looking out to the lion exhibit. We ate hambergers and hot dogs about 50 feet from some pretty hungry looking lions... good thing the glass was there! Here are a few more pictures from our fun zoo trip.
