Barcelona Overview

Before we found out we'd be transferred abroad we had planned on taking a beach vacation during the summer. So we didn't want to let being in another country stop us from doing this. We decided on Spain since Serg has always wanted to go there and it seemed like a good enough beach type trip. Its amazing how easy it is to travel around Europe once you're over here. Barcelona was the right distance and price for us, and we were able to use hotel points to book a nice resort a bit outside of the city, right on the coast.

After a slight delay (3 hours!), we made it to our hotel pretty late at night and got settled in. Everyone was pretty exhausted and we all actually slept in the next day, sleeping later than I can recall us EVER doing. Each day started with an amazing breakfast spread where we ate overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean. We spent alot of time on the beach, some time at the pool, and went into the city one day. The best part of this trip was seeing the boys experience new things and just enjoying spending time as a family in such a neat part of the world. There is no way I could do this trip justice on here, suffice to say it was very special to us.

I plan to write in more detail about our funny experiences on this trip- there were plenty, as always- but for now just wanted to share pictures. Serg was in charge of the camera on this trip, so there are several hundred pictures... maybe he gets this from his mom?? :) Instead of filtering through them, I am just going to include the link to all of them at the bottom.
