Papa and Oma

Serg's parents, "Papa and Oma" to the boys, came to visit us recently. We had such an amazing time with them. To all stay in the same place for several days/nights really allows you to spend quality time with people. We have really treasured all our visitors and have made great memories!

They arrived late on a friday night and Andrew was so excited to see them on saturday morning. Nate took a little to warm up, as he has with everyone "new" in his house, but within a day or so he was all about his grandparents. Saturday we took them to our favorite local farmer's market and park, and Sunday we went to the Science Museum which was really fun for everyone. They have a great area for kids in the basement of the museum called "The Garden", which is a bit ironic if you think about it. They have neat exhibits, one of which is a display of how a toilet flushes and has a very real looking (but fake of course) poo in it. We met our friends the Collier's for dinner that Sunday night at our go-to pub called The Red Squirrel. It was fun, but our boys were a bit difficult/tired from a busy day so we quickly put them to sleep as soon as we got home. Then we were able to sigh a big "ahhh" and chat a bit.

We got into our normal week routine with Andrew going to school in the mornings and Serg having a busy week at work. Me and the kids were very spoiled during that week with lots of help, amazing homemade mexican food, and great company. Andrew got taken to the Disney store two days in a row!! The first toy he picked out did not meet his expectations (a mickey mouse rocket that obviously had not gone through vigorous enough product testing), so they went back the next day and Andrew picked out a gigantic talking Buzz Lightyear which has been a hit around here. He speaks English AND Spanish. :) Buzz Lightyear, al rescate!

Serg and I also got a date night where we met up with my friend Jamie and her husband who were on their honeymoon. So fun.

We love you, Papa and Oma! Thanks for visiting and we'll see you soon.
