Sadness and Donuts

We think Andrew is exploring the emotion of sadness. The other night he told us he was sad to leave his red garage house. Before you feel too sorry for him (as we initially did), the same night I was telling him a story that mentioned donuts, and he said he was sad to not have donuts in his hands. I tried to clarify, asking, "so you are sad to not have donuts in your hands right now?" To which he answered "Yes".

He may be a little sad, and I guess that's ok. But overall he is thriving here and we couldn't feel better about his transition. It did get me thinking about some things we miss.

My top things are family and friends, my dryer, and my sink disposal. Possibly not in that order because I really miss my dryer. :) And cheese its.

My current "dryer"

I haven't asked Serg directly but I would assume he misses family most, closely followed by tv.

Andrew misses all his buddies.

Nate misses having his own room. Translation- we miss Nate having his own room, as he is currently sharing ours.

I guess I am a little sad I don't have donuts in my hand right now too. Maybe this kid is on to something.
